Dr. Timothy R. McAuley has conducted cutting edge research related to electronic cigarettes and the concerns around impacts on indoor air quality and public health. As a result of his work, Dr. McAuley research has been referenced in over 40 countries including being the most widely referenced research paper for the last 3 years. The original work conducted was titled, Comparison of the effects of e-cigarette vapor and cigarette smoke on indoor air quality published in Inhalation Toxicology in 2012.
Dr. McAuley’s leadership in this research market has earned him global recognition and as a result has been part of several highly regarded boards and panels to discuss past, current, and future needs for research directions to ensure that science meets policy and that research is conducted in a non-biased fashion.
On October 22, 2015, Dr. McAuley will be part of a three person expert panel to discuss the current trends in the research including his new research that will lead again the industry on filling a major data gap in today’s understanding of electronic cigarettes and public health.
